Beyond “I’m Sorry”: Supporting Real Conflict Resolution with Brain science and Restorative Justice
Virtual Workshop
June 11th 7-8pm
Conflict is a normal part of growing up—but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. When your child is melting down, shouting “That’s not fair!” or locked in daily battles with siblings and friends, it’s hard to know what to say or do. Many caregivers find themselves stuck between wanting to step in and fix the situation and wishing their child had the skills to solve it on their own.
This workshop is designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 6-12 who are navigating big emotions, fairness fights, and friendship challenges. Together, we’ll explore how children at this stage experience conflict—from how their brains are developing to how they see justice, empathy, and relationships.
We’ll break down:
Why conflict happens (even when you've taught them better!)
How to support emotional regulation before things escalate
What helps kids express themselves without blowing up or shutting down
Ways to guide them toward problem-solving that actually sticks
Real-life tools for handling sibling struggles, friendship drama, and everyday disagreements
Rooted in developmental neuroscience and restorative justice this workshop will leave you with practical, compassionate strategies to use at home. You’ll feel more confident, calm, and connected—and ready to turn those tough moments into meaningful growth.
